Ekonom: Efficient rental housing as an investment opportunity

Rising real estate prices and limited availability of own housing are increasing investors' interest in the rental segment. As reported in a debate in the weekly Ekonom, the real estate market in the Czech Republic is waking up again - and with it the demand for stable investment instruments. One of the concrete solutions that is responding to this situation is the Fidurock investment group fund.

This was introduced during the debate by the group's founder David Hauerland, who discussed it together with the founder of the development company Domoplan Tomáš Vavřík, the chairman of the board of directors of Family Ace Pavel Doležal and the editor-in-chief of Ekonom Petr Kain.

Fidurock offers a fund focused on rental housing, which is also available to small investors - you can invest from as little as CZK 200 per month. The fund's strategy is to acquire apartment buildings in attractive locations in Prague and Brno, their complete reconstruction and subsequent professional leasing. The goal is to offer the general public the opportunity for passive and stable appreciation.

Thanks to thoughtful management, digitalization of operations and effective use of apartment layouts, Fidurock can generate a long-term return of between five and seven percent per year – significantly more than a typical owner of an investment apartment. “When you buy an apartment to rent for cash, you are often below two percent after deducting all costs,” Hauerland points out.

The rental housing model is thus proving to be increasingly attractive not only for tenants but also for investors. And it is the effective management, scalability and experience in the market that make it a stable investment solution for years to come.
